Social networking site Facebook is being flooded with millions of messages, urging people to unite and spread the message of brotherhood, in view of the Ayodhya verdict on September 24.
A wave of peace and unity has taken over everyone, binding all people in one voice, irrespective of their faith. Unlike what happened years ago, this time people are unanimously calling for unity.
Sagar Bagga, a youngster, wrote, “Who r we, Hindu or Muslim?? Wen dere is ‘ALI’ in Diwali & ‘RAM’ in Ramzan. Help India in being united!!! Spread dis msg as far as u can for September 24. Sabse pehle ‘We r Indians’...Luv all hate none.”
“None of us is stronger dan all of us...copy paste on ur status.”
Similarly, many other youngsters have also changed their status message to promote harmony and requested others to follow suit.
Another youth Abhinav Dutt posted, “We are Indians first and trust me, it doesn’t really matter what the verdict is. Life will go on as it is. Yes, no doubt some politicians will get a chance to show how mean they can get. I have set my status message, which says we are Indians first so let’s not get affected by whatever the verdict in this case comes out to be.”
A young professional, Alina, wrote on her wall, “Kis kaam ke mandir masjid, kis kaam ke hain gurudware, is desh ke beghar bachche, jab firte maare maare” (“What is the point in having temples, mosques, and gurudwaras when the homeless children wander aimlessly and without help?”). Why don’t they just build an orphanage or hospital at disputed the site in Ayodhya. The result will help nobody but politicians.
Friends pls promote this thought by making ds ur status atleast till September 24 so that the supreme court cn also gt d opinion of all the Indians, before making the decision. Hope, it will have a little effect.!!”
With millions of users changing their status messages, this initiative of brotherhood is spreading like wild fire. It makes it evident that India wants peace and harmony.
Pradeep Agarwal, a government employee, wrote, “Jis desh me Diwali me Ali ka aur Ramzan me Ram ka vaas ho, waha kuch galat kaise ho sakta hai?” (How can anything go wrong in a country where Ali is a part of Diwali and Ram of Ramzan)?
