Bhiwani?s sons sit on treasure trove
The three main contenders ? Ajay Chautala, Surender Singh and Kuldeep Bishnoi ? do not only belong to most prominent political families, but are also the richest.
It doesn't get bigger than this. The three main contenders here — Ajay Chautala, Surender Singh and Kuldeep Bishnoi — do not only belong to three most prominent political families, but they are also among the richest candidates in the region.
Each of them has assets running into several crores. All other candidates pale in comparison.
Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of Haryana Congress president Bhajan Lal, is the youngest of the three at 35 as well as the most affluent as per the details of assets filed along with his nomination papers.
Bishnoi has movable and immovable assets totalling approximately Rs 14 crore.
Ajay Singh Chautala, the elder son of chief minister and INLD leader Om Prakash Chautala, comes second with assets to the tune of Rs 6.5 crore.
The younger Chautala, a member of the dissolved Lok Sabha, has mentioned assets worth another Rs 1.12 crore as part of the Hindu Undivided Family (HUF).
Two-time MP Surender Singh (HVP) (son of former chief minister Bansi Lal) has assets adding up to approximately Rs 6 crore. Interestingly, the HVP leader does not own a vehicle whereas his two main rivals possess luxury sedans. While Kuldeep has three vehicles including a Hyundai Terrican and a Sonata, Ajay Chautala owns three a Ford, Jeep and a Maruti Zen.

Kuldeep has bonds and debentures worth about Rs 74 lakh, deposits of Rs 35 lakh in banks and financial institutions, Rs 4.46 lakh in cash and diamond and gold jewellery worth Rs 6 lakh.
His wife, Renuka, has bank deposits worth Rs 6.74 lakh and diamond and gold jewellery worth Rs 2.50 lakh. The Congress candidate owns or has a share in a number of industrial and residential plots in Mandi Adampur, Panchkula, Gurgaon, Rajokri (Delhi), Fatehabad and Hisar.
