Lara Dutta can offically be called the comedy queen of Bollywood with Partner, Bhagam Bhag, Masti and No Entry raking moolah at the box-office. She is ready with one more now - Do Knot Disturb, which is set to release on October 2. What more? She has signed on two more laugh riots - Banda Ye Bindaas Hai and Housefull.
Wow so much fun in her kitty! So is the shift to 'just comedy' a deliberate attempt? Responds Lara, "People have this notion that a Miss Universe can't do comedy. I want to break this perception. I have realised that comedy is my forte".
So is she trying to become a lady Govinda? Says Lara, "Ritiesh and I are comparatively new to industry. But some day, certainly, I would like to be known for my comic portrayals."
Lara also feels that she shares a great chemistry with co-star Riteish Deshmukh. "This is my third film with Riteish. And I think we share a good chemistry on screen."
The actress however feels that creating chemisry is also up to the director. "If you have a director like David Dhawan, the magic is already in the air and there's bound to be good chemistry with co-stars."
"Frankly speaking, David Dhawan is the biggest director I have worked with. I always dreamt of working with David Dhawan and Govinda, and when I got the chance there was no looking back," signs off Lara.
