Indore: CM inaugurates railway over bridge on Super Corridor
Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday inaugurated an 880-meter long railway over bridge (ROB) on Supper Corridor and dedicated it to the public.

The ROB was delayed by several years.
Speaking on the occasion, Chouhan applauded Indore Development Authority (IDA) for completing the bridge before the Simhastha in Ujjain.
“This is biggest railway over bridge of central India. This shows that we are capable of building world class infrastructure,” Chouhan said. He added that with the kind of progress being witnessed in Indore, the city would be a leading Smart City.
After vacation of stay on acquisition of land of Swadeshi Mill, the chief minister said he’s hopeful of completing Major Road – 4 (MR-4) before commencement of Simhastha.
The over bridge took over five years to be finally ready. Recently district collector has directed the development authority to complete the RoB before Simhastha.
Construction of the 880-meter eight-lane RoB project was started in May 2012 and was expected to be completed by June 2014. But due to lack of coordination among governmental departments and technical problems, the ROB was delayed for several months.
IDA chairman Shankar Lalwani assured CM that MR-4 – the four-lane project to connect Indore railway station with Laxmibai Nagar Railway Station and Ujjain road would be ready before Simhastha.
