One of the popular music festivals in the country — Bacardi NH7 Weekender, powered by MTS, is ready to take the Capital by storm, yet again. After two successful years, the two-day fest, which kick-starts tomorrow at Noida’s Buddh F1 Circuit, will not only celebrate music but also see art lovers indulging in food, art, dancing and moshpits.
US-based alternative rock band Mutemath’s drummer, Darren King, who will be performing in the fest on Sunday, said the band can’t wait to perform in India. “There’s something about Indian culture that just astounds Americans. I had friends who were trying to figure out if they could come with us,” said King.
Singer Lucky Ali also spoke to us about the importance of such festivals. “This is great, a platform where artists and their fans can interact was much-needed,” he said. The line-up consists of Manganiyar Seduction by Roysten Abel, Swedish metal heavyweights Meshuggah, Kailasa, Vir Das’ Alien Chutney and 50 more artists just waiting to put Delhi in a musical trance. Tickets are available at NH7.in/Weekender and at the venue.
