24-year-old held for flashing two women in Mumbai

According to the Dindoshi police, the incident took place at around 10.15pm in Goregaon

A 24-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly flashing two women on the service road next to Western Express Highway (WEH) in Goregaon (East).

According to the Dindoshi police, the incident took place at around 10.15pm near the hotel The Westin Mumbai Garden City. The complainant and her friend were chatting on the road when the accused, Salman Khan, came from behind, lowered his pants and started passing comments directed at them.

As the girls shouted out, he tried to flee but people in the vicinity chased and nabbed him. The complainant also called up the police and a patrolling team came and arrested Khan.

An FIR was lodged against the accused under section 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Khan is a labourer and a resident of Sanjay Nagar in Kurar village in Malad (East). He was subjected to a medical test to find out if he was in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident. Senior inspector (additional charge), Dindoshi police station, Ravi Adane said, “He was remanded in judicial custody on Friday.” The probe is on to find out if the accused has a criminal record.
