Now, just pay Rs 5 instead of Rs 10 to travel from Prabhadevi to CSMT in Mumbai
This is because the Western Railway has started issuing the tickets for CSMT and other stations on the Central Railway network via Parel on Saturday, giving relief to the commuters.
Commuters can now travel from Prabhadevi station to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station (CSMT) on the Western Railway (WR) by paying just Rs 5 as fare instead of Rs 10, which they had been paying for the past few weeks.

This is because the WR has started issuing the tickets for CSMT and other stations on the Central Railway network via Parel on Saturday, giving relief to the commuters.
Since WR changed the name of Elphinstone Road station to Prabhadevi on July 18, the railway was issuing suburban railway tickets via Dadar station only, due to some technical issue.
It created trouble for the passengers as they were either forced to pay double the amount of normal fare or walk till Parel station booking windows in order to buy a cheaper ticket.
“The revised fare was updated on the system on Saturday at 7.50am,” said a WR official, who is not authorised to speak to media.
“We are glad that railway has revised Prabhadevi to CSMT ticket fare, but it should have been done before the passengers complained,” said Sunil Shinde, a school teacher.
A WR staffer said that they noticed the changes in their fare system from Saturday morning. This will also give them relief from unnecessary quarrels with the commuters, who used to get upset when asked to pay double the fare amount.
WR’s Mumbai division office had written to its headquarter and Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), the IT brain of Indian railways, for making the necessary changes.
