In what was Delhi’s most awaited festival, the Bacardi NH7 Weekender held over the weekend at Buddh Internationa Circuit, was an instant hit. The two-day music extravaganza, held in the city for the first time, featured 60 bands/artists across six stages. Around 18,000 people attended the fest which concluded with a power packed performance by American heavy metal band Megadeth.

Artists such as sitarist Anoushka Shankar, Indian Ocean, Soulmate, Parikrama, audio-visual collective BLOT! and Shair+Func among others performed at the festival.

The festival was attended by people who tried to catch the eyes of photographers with whacky hairstyles and wild sartorial choices. The event was well managed with signage boards all over the venue to help visitors. “You can choose any stage and just walk in to it and you will not be disappointed. I wish this happens every year and it will set a benchmark for future music festivals,” said Kritee Chadha, 25, who had come with her friends to attend the fest.
