If you’re a fan of electronic metal, Delhi-based band Frequency may be a good bet for the ears. They are all geared to put up a promising show for all those following the genre.
“Our electronic grooves are what, I think, set us apart. It is not exactly dubstep but has a lot more drum rolls and bass involved. I don’t think any other band has that to offer,” says vocalist Lalit Mehta.
The band will also be releasing their extended playlist (EP), Burning Miles, at the event. “The EP will have a lot of our old songs such as All Balls Out and Against the Law. Along with that, there will be one new song which will also feature in our upcoming album. The song is our experiment with the new electronic music that is currently a rage in the world,’’ says Lalit.
Frequency came together in 2006, went through several member changes and has only the vocalist (Lalit) and the guitarist, Kushal Thapa, remaining from the founding team. “We were and still are, experimenting with our sound, so we had a lot of line-up changes. Plus some of the former members left the band sighting personal reasons, so it was difficult at the start. But now, things are finally falling into place. Let’s hope it works out,” says Lalit.
