Iran exhibits ‘shunned’ western artworks first time since the revolution | Pics

The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art in the Iranian capital organised the "Minimalism and Conceptual Art" exhibition, showcasing works of American and European artists from the 19th and 20th-centuries. Over 20,000 people visited the museum showcasing featuring artworks- some of which were ‘shunned’ after Islamic republic's founder Ruhollah Khomeini railed against “Westoxification.” Marcel Duchamp, Sol LeWitt, Donald Judd and the duo Christo and Jeanne-Claude are some of the artists whose works are being exhibited in the museum which counts some 3,500 works.
