While Janhvi made her acting debut in 2018 with Dhadak, Khushi was launched with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies last year. In an interview last year, Janhvi had this advice for Khushi: ‘Don’t date an actor. Just because I think the kind of girls me and her are, I just think it would be better.’

Talking about how the sisters reacted when they learnt about their mother, actor Sridevi’s death, Janhvi said on Koffee with Karan, “The thing that I remember is that when I got the call, I was in my room. I could hear wailing from Khushi's room."

"I think I barged into her room howling and crying. But what I do remember, Karan, is that the minute she looked at me, she just stopped crying. She just sat next to me and started comforting me. I have never seen her cry about it since.”

In 2020, Janhvi was asked what advice she would like to give Khushi to prepare her for a career in Bollywood. “I think one of the biggest learnings that I have had in the limited time I have spent in the industry is that at every given point of time, there are enough people that will tell you enough to make you feel that you are amazing and there are enough that will say enough to make you feel completely worthless," she said.
