1. Look for the PA rating of your sunscreen: While the SPF rating is highly marketed, the PA value of your sunscreen matters equally, if not more. It determines how much your sunscreen protects you from UVA rays. UVA rays penetrate deep into our skin and cause pigmentation and ageing. So, ensure your sunscreen has a PA triple plus rating and SPF above 30.(Pixabay) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout

2. Less is more: Gone are the days of those tedious 10-step skincare routines. People are now shifting to simplified skincare. As a dermatologist, I am telling you that for summers, you don't need more than a 4-step skincare. Just focus on the basics - cleanser, moisturiser, repair and protect regimen and you'll be good.(Photo by Yulia Shipova) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout

3. Personalise your skincare: A huge trend and one that I approve of! Your skin is different from other people, so the products that work beautifully for them may not work for you.  So, do consider getting a personalised skincare routine from a dermatologist.(Pexels ) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout

4. For good skin, pay attention to your hair: If you use your hair oil on dirty hair leave it overnight. Then there are chances of transferring dirt and bacteria on the face, leading to clogged pores and pimples. So in summers, I would recommend using oil on clean hair and leaving it maximum of 3-4 hours. Then wash it off.(Armin Rimoldi on pexels ) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout
