Perfectionism is the characteristic of a person where they set unrealistic standards for themselves to reach. This can affect their quality of life and mental and emotional health. "Perfectionism is a characteristic that leads an individual to set unrealistic standards for themselves and others. It can get in the way of living your life to its fullest.
