The crunchy Puris, which are filled with a delectable mix of mashed potato, coriander, leaves, and spices dipped in tamarind water, can instantly make our day better. But is it unfit for consumption? Pani Puris from Karnataka are currently going viral for failing health standards. Food safety officials collected samples of pani puris from across the state, out of which about 22% of samples failed health standards. Of 260 samples that were collected, in 41 samples, artificial colours and carcinogenic agents that cause cancer were found. 18 samples were found to be unfit for human consumption.
