- Vietnam plans to reopen the beach-fringed island of Phu Quoc to foreign tourists from October to boost the economy, authorities said. Vietnam's tourism and culture minister Nguyen Van Hung said, "the prolonged pandemic has seriously hurt the tourism industry."
