When we do not prioritise ourselves and our emotions, we end up neglecting ourselves. “Are you neglecting yourself and your emotions? If your emotions were not tended to enough as a child, you may have learned that your emotional needs aren’t a priority. Even if your emotions were cared for as a child, you might have learned to suppress them at some point,” wrote Psychologist Carolyn Rubenstein as she explained the signs of self-neglect.(Unsplash)
