Body Dysmorphic Disorder is a mental illness where a person is preoccupied with thoughts of perceived physical flaw in appearance. This can often make the person go for cosmetic procedures and excessive grooming, often at the cost of their own health. Frequent scrutiny in the mirror and loss of self-confidence are some of the signs of Body Dysmorphic Disorder.
