Not to be confused with health anxiety, medical gaslighting can happen from the health practitioners we are consulting with or from our near and dear ones as well. Not understanding our symptoms, or trivialising our fear related to an illness, is a form of medical gaslighting. Sometimes hiding information related to side effects of the medications or calling our concern Hypochondria and dismissing us, is a harmful thing to do.
