Often, we store so much trauma in the body, that we feel nervous all the time. "This is what our nervous systems are built for. Helping us navigate threats. The difficulty is when we feel powerless by our location, means or capacity. And then we get stuck in loops fighting against our own thoughts, being propelled reactively by feelings, not allowing ourselves respite or completely withdrawing," wrote Psychologist Sula Windgassen.
