In an interview with Zarafshan Shiraz of HT Lifestyle, Dr Disha Thakwani, Senior Consultant, Gynecologist at HCL Healthcare, said, “Yeast infections are caused by an overgrowth of the fungus Candida albicans in the vagina. Over-the-counter antifungal creams or suppositories are usually effective.
