Bengaluru floods: Drinking water supply to be stopped in city for 2 days

- The weather department has predicted heavy rains in south and north interior Karnataka for the next four days. The state has already received 144 per cent excess rain during the last week of August, and in the first five days of the current month, the state has received 51 per cent excess rain.

Bengaluru reeled under floods as incessant rainfall lashed the city on Monday evening. Waterlogging led to traffic jams and disruptions in the lives of normal people in several parts of the city including Koramangla. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board's (BWSSB) has warned of water supply disruption in several areas of the city for two days as pumping station in the Mandya district is flooded.(ANI)
