National Capital hosts Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2022 after gap of 2 years

- 29 elite runners and several amateurs joined The Delhi Half Marathon which was held in Delhi on October 16. Haile Gebrselassie, one of the greatest distance runners in history, is the International Event Ambassador at the Delhi Half Marathon 2022.

The Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon which was conducted in Delhi on Sunday, October 16 was flagged from the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Chala Regasa of Ethiopia and Irine Cheptai of Kenya won the men's and women's elite races respectively.(PTI)

Regasa won the race with a time of 1 hour 30 seconds, while Cheptai came up with a personal best of 1:06:42 to top the women's event.(AFP)

The International Elite winners in the men's and women's categories will take home USD 27,000 each and the prize fund includes the top 10 finishers in both. They will also receive an Event Record Bonus of USD 12,000 as an incentive.(AFP)

"The Delhi Half Marathon is something we look forward to every year in our family and in my neighbourhood. There are so many of us runners who have been running together for many years now.
