Mahesh, who was dressed casually in a blue T-shirt and jeans, said that he was a big fan of Ranbir. “I have told him before when I met him but I don't think he took that seriously. I am a huge Ranbir Kapoor fan and in my opinion he is the best actor in India,” he said.

Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna shared a laugh at the grand pre-release event in Hyderabad. Rashmika also opened up about a recent deepfake video where her face was morphed into that of an influencer. “Deepfakes have been around for a while and we’ve normalised them but it isn’t okay,” she said, adding, “I always wondered who would even care if I chose to speak up and point out that it isn’t okay. So, I’m glad people from across the film industries have supported me. I understand now how important it is to speak up. I want to urge women to take the help they need when it happens," she said.

Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga turned up in an all black look for the event. The film's trailer, which released a few days ago, showcases a violent world set against the backdrop of a troubled relationship between Ranbir's Arjun Singh and his father Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor.

SS Rajamouli was also present at the promotional event with the Animal team. The RRR director also declared Ranbir as his favourite actor, confidently stating, "Without hesitation, I'll tell you, my favorite actor is Ranbir Kapoor." He also playfully challenged him to choose between working with Sandeep Reddy Vanga and himself. Ranbir ultimately chose Vanga.

He is seen threatening everybody who comes in the way of his love for his father. Animal is all set to hit the theatres on December 1. It will release in five languages--Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
