Angelo Mathews took his time walking in during the 25th over after Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan dismissed Sadeera Samarawickrama. He then signalled to the dressing room from the middle for a new helmet before facing his first ball. This led to Shakib appealing to the umpire for timing Mathews out and the latter held it up. Mathews was visibly upset by it and the incident set up a charged atmosphere between the two sides for the rest of the game. (AFP) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout

There were a lot of sparks between the two sides throughout the Bangladesh innings. particularly towards Shakib when he walked out to bat. But the Bangladesh captain weathered the storm and powered Bangladesh's chase by scoring 82 off 65. He put up a 169-run stand with Najmul Hossain Shanto that came in just 149 balls.(ANI) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout

It ended when Mathews himself got Shakib out quite dramatically and he then went on to get Shanto as well on 90 off 101 balls.  It was then a back and forth game with the Sri Lankans taking wickets almost every time Bangladesh hit a boundary. But it was too much to do for the bowlers and Bangladesh recorded just their second win of the tournament and their first ever against Sri Lanka in the World Cup.(AFP) expand-icon View Photos in a new improved layout
