Having received a notice from the headquarters, the senior superintendents of police (SSP) or commissioners have forwarded a performa to all station house officers (SHOs). The information has to be compiled within 10 days in a format that covers 41 details, including the past criminal record and present location with full address and contact numbers.
The names are being put into 'hardcore' and 'non-hardcore' categories. Those still involved in terrorist activities, directly or indirectly, are being put on the hardcore list, while non-hardcore terrorists are those who have given up criminal activities and now lead a normal life.
LUDHIANA POLICE LIST 24 NAMES The Ludhiana police commissionerate and the Ludhiana (rural) police have already submitted the information. While the commissionerate has listed nine names, three of them in the 'hardcore' category, the Ludhiana (rural) police have submitted 15 names.
