"The day is not far away, when Dhindsa ji, will become the union minister in the next government at the centre. Then Dhindsa ji will have the keys of the national treasure and we will bring trucks of currency notes for the development of Punjab", said Sukhbir while addressing a public rally in his support here on Friday. "I am sure of his induction into the next union cabinet, as Modi never say no to Parkash Singh Badal ji", he added.

However, Sukhbir also targeted former Punjab finance minister and People's Party of Punjab chief Manpreet Badal, who is contesting election against his wife Harsimrat Kaur from Bathinda, saying:"When he was finance minister of Punjab, Manpreet always complained about the empty treasure of the state, but now Parminder Dhindsa has filled up the treasure of the Punjab government since he took over"

Talking to the mediapersons, Sukhbir accused the former Punjab chief minister Surjit Singh Barnala of working as B team of the Congress. "This is an open secret that Barnala ji had always supported the Congress that is why he remained the governor for 10 years during the Congress' regime"

Sukhbir also slammed the Congress leaders of Punjab for their failure to bring any project for the people of Punjab. But they were busy complaining about the welfare schemes chalked out by the SAD-BJP government. He said the UPA-2 was total failure and the real manifesto of Congress was to multiply the loot of national resources.

Earlier, addressing the gathering Balwant Singh Ramoowalia said: "Worried about their defeat, the Congress candidates did not want to contest the elections and they were making excuses. This is enough to prove that the Congress stands nowhere in Punjab politics".

On this occasion AAP candidate Bhagwant Mann's maternal uncle Gurcharan Singh and Ravinder Pal Singh of Patiala joined SAD.
