Dr Ajay Bagga was elected patron, Dr Surinder Singh Saini, general secretary, Dr Charanjit Pal senior vice president, Dr Sewa Singh vice president, Dr Harpreet Singh joint secretary, Dr Gurwinder Singh organising secretary and Dr Sunil Ahir was elected press secretary.
Besides, an 11-member executive committee was also elected. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Lakhvir Singh said that to press the government to meet their long pending demands, the doctors needed to intensify struggle.
