"It's difficult to reach other racketeers, as they may have been cautioned by the arrest of Bhola and his aides and ceased to function for time being to evade their arrest in this connection,"Patiala senior superintendent of police (SSP) Hardiyal Singh Mann told Hindustan Times.

When asked about the involvement of other big-fish in the racket, Mann said, "As of now, I have not been updated by investigating teams, but the possibility of others' involvement in this international drug racket cannot be ruled out."

The SSP, however, refused to disclose further steps being taken by police and investigating teams, stating: "I cannot share this information with the media, but we have formed two teams to investigate the links of this racket at both national and international levels through proper channels and with the support of other states' police."

Replying to a question that Bhola and his aide are in the police custody and police can take their help to get access of other racketeers including NRIs, the SSP said: "They may not support the police investigation. Moreover, we need more time to access their links. But I think the other racketeers might have suspended their deals for time being to evade arrest."

Meanwhile, a senior police officer on condition of anonymity said police were conducting raids at drug racketeers' hideouts in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), from where they used to supply drugs across the country.

The dismissed Punjab police officer and Arjun Awardee wrestler, Bhola, and his aide Saba have been brought to Patiala on transit remand for questioning in the Arms Act and counterfeit-seal cases lodged in April at the Urban Estate police state.

On November 11, the Patiala police had arrested Arjuna Award winner athlete Bhola and his four accomplices from a dhaba at Ganaur along the Grand Trunk Road in Haryana with drugs worth 18 crore and two cars.
