She said she got a tip-off from her relatives in the village and talked to her husband on phone.Renu said her husband called her on Sunday saying, "He is going to Mumbai along with the children and will never return. On Monday, I got a call from one of my relatives in Bahraich, who told me that Manoj along with the children are in the village."
"The relatives called Manoj over telephone on my request. My husband demanded money from me in exchange of releasing the children," she claimed.
"My husband said he wants money and asked me to come to the village to hand over the money and take back the children. I told the police about the update and I am planning to go to my village," she added.
Deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Harsh Bansal said, "The police have been investigating the matter and trying to trace Manoj. The police will nab the accused with the help of the Uttar Pradesh police."
Renu, who is physically challenged, runs a roadside tea stall on the Tajpur road. She had alleged that her husband had abducted their daughter and son with an intention to sell them off. She also alleged that the accused had sold off their four-year-old son a year ago.
