The top cop also summoned the cops of CIA staff with reasons as to why the woman, Madhu, a resident of New Sant Nagar of Shuharpur road of Haibowal, was wanted by the police.
He also assured Madhu's father Kailash Kumar that the police would try its best to trace his daughter.
Kumar met the police commissioner at his office on Friday and filed a written complaint against the officials of CIA staff, who had allegedly rounded up his daughter for questioning on June 16.
He demanded stern action against the officers and recovery of his daughter.
“The police commissioner listened to me patiently and assured me of doing their best to locate my daughter. He also talked to the cops concerned over phone and asked them to appear before him with the record regarding the matter,” Kumar said.
The CIA staff of police commissionerate had allegedly rounded up Madhu near her house, while she was on her way back from work at Kitchlu Nagar.
Since then Madhu never returned home. The police have been looking for a youth, Anish, who is Madhu's neighbour, in a burglary case.
According to Kumar, Anish used to harass his daughter over phone, and tracing his calls to her number, rounded Madhu up.
