Bhagwant Mann of the Aam Aadmi Party has already added a new flavour of his comedy to the election campaign. Now Congress sitting MP Vijay Inder Singla is all set to release his video song to counter Bhagwant Mann's crowd- pulling satires and round-the- clock advertisement campaign on television of the ruling SAD. Now Singla's video song will highlight what he has achieved for Sangrur since he was elected for the first time in 2009.
Sung in earthy Punjabi, "Mai karaan biyan jubani, ek lehar uthi tufani", Singla has spent a total Rs 70,000 to prepare this more than 3 minute-long video song.
In the video of the song, Singla has tried to reveal that he has done a lot of struggle to get Panj Takht Train for Sikh pilgrims, a 500 bedded -satellite centre of the PGI, Chandigarh and a synthetic track at war heroes stadium located in the centre of the city.
Singla has also tried to prove his proximity with the Congress high command, especially with party's vice- president Rahul Gandhi.
In the video, Singla has also shown the videos of big rallies he organized in Sangrur.
As per information, Singla has already taken permission from the Sangrur deputy commissioner-cum-returning officer for the release of the song, which he is likely to upload on his Facebook account, You Tube and on television channels after filing the nomination papers on April 4.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Sangrur deputy commissioner Kavita Singh said that Singla had sought the permission for the release of his song. She said he had mentioned that an amount of Rs 70,000 was spent to prepare the song, and the amount would be included in his election expenditure after he files nomination papers.
However, when contacted Singla's aide refused to disclose anything about the song saying:"Until, we release the song, we don't want to disclose anything to anybody. If it gets published in the media, it will help our opponents in criticizing us."
