Rajasthan Election Results 2018: CPI(M) wins two seats, returns to assembly after 5 years

Rajasthan Assembly Results 2018:Two candidates of the CPI (M) won in the Rajasthan assembly elections, paving the way for the party to return to the state assembly after five years.
CPI(M) candidates Hiralal Mahia and Balwan Punia bagged Shri Dungargarh and Bhadra respectively in Rajasthan and returned to the state assembly after a gap of five years.
While it lost in its stronghold of Sikar, the party won in their unchartered territories. CPIM politburo member Hannan Mollah said that their many protest programmes have yielded these victories.

“In Shri Dungargarh, we forced the state to reduce power bill by 40%. In Bhadra we held many agitations and revamped our organization,” said Mollah.
But CPIM’s star candidate Amra Ram and Pema Ram lost due to unfavourable caste equations.
