Two 17-year-old tribal girls working in a hotel in Jharkhand's temple town Rajrappa were allegedly gang-raped by the owner and his two friends. One of the victims later died at a hospital in Ranchi.
The police said the girls, who hail from Latehar district, were working in Vasundhra Vatika Hotel in Chitarpur, Rajrappa, for the last four months. On Saturday, Sao and his friends allegedly raped and abused them, the surviving victim claimed.
One of the girls suffered heavy bleeding following the rape. Worried, Sao took her to a local nursing home, after which a doctor referred her to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi. Here, the girl died within hours.
Following a complaint by the surviving victim, Rajrappa police lodged an FIR against the accused, who is now absconding.
