8 new heart-warming Mother's Day ads that will make you cry

Because folks at Hallmark have really learned how to tug on those heartstrings, their new series of Mother's Day ads asked people to describe the love and gratitude they have for their mothers.

If you have made it this far in your day without crying, congratulations! You have managed to manoeuvre the internet without seeing a drone footage of the Nepal earthquake or one of those zebra-on-the-loose type YouTube? videos or a photo of David Beckham with his shirt off. (That makes us cry, too).

But you've reached the end of the road and it's time to well up with emotion, thanks to seven new heart-warming Mother's Day ads. Grab the tissues, because this one's a doozy.

Now, Mother's Day is coming up (May 10, mark your calendars!) and, like every year, you're thinking, "In my books, every day should be Mother's Day, but when there's an excuse to treat her to something extraspecial, I'm all for it!"

And because folks at Hallmark have really learned how to tug on those heartstrings, their new series of Mother's Day ads asked people to describe the love and gratitude they have for their mothers. The best part: Little did the participants know, their moms were listening in to their conversations the entire time. So, each video captured a mom's reaction to her children's touching words. (Now, we're going to be optimistic and adorably naive and assume these were not paid actors.)

Created for the brand's #PutYourHeartToPaper campaign, the series includes seven videos where the interviewer asked people to describe how much they loved their moms without using the phrases "I love you" and "thank you."

"I feel like with her actions every day she teaches me what it means to love someone," one daughter said about her mother in one of the videos. Another daughter described her mother as her soulmate, "People always talk about ‘Oh there're soulmates in the world' and I don’t know if I believe in all that stuff but if there were soulmates I know she’s my soulmate. I’ve never yet met somebody that I connect with and love and care about and think about more than my mom."

Another video had a son talk about how his single mom, "not just gave him birth, but gave him a life." Heart melted, right?

For us, we'd just wait for our moms to tell us that we should have done our hair that morning instead of sticking it in a ponytail or we should skip that muffin and reach out for another green tea. That's our mommy!

So, now watch these videos that are sure to make you wonder if you could ever describe what your mom means to you, without saying "I love her."

We at Hindustan Times are always keen to know what you have to say. So, go ahead share your Mother's Day message or tell us how you feel about this new campaign.
