Instead both the Abhishek Yadav goals followed an open invitation by the defense to score since no one bothered to even close in on the striker and just waited for him to take a shot at goal. Cavin Lobo and Gbeneme Friday then took advantage of a demoralized opposition that seemed to be waiting for the final whistle instead of launching a fight back.

Dempo Sports Club came from behind to down Sporting Clube de Goa 3-2 and regain the top spot in the 11th round of I-League.
Meanwhile, Mohun Bagan were held to a goalless draw by defending champions Salgaocar SC at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan. Bagan had the better ball possession but the side playing without five players, including Sunil Chhetri, meant that a decisive goal eluded them.
