Jabeur loses two quick points leaving her utterly frustrated. Couple of backhand exchanges with sliced returns and then Jabuer bangs the down-the-line return to make it 30-all. And then gets the chance to break, again. Vondrousova used the slice to her advantage to land the drop shot as Jabeur looked for a cheeky return, but was denied by the net cord. Jabeur gained the advantage however, a second break point chance in the game, but lost the opportunity on an unforced return. Another long rally, another backhand down the line and Jabeur gives herself another shot at breaking the Czech's serve. Denied again! 4th deuce in the game. The Tunisian is in complete control of the opening set as she raced away to 40-15 before the Czech's forehand drew two errors from Jabuer. The latter then erred on her forehand to hand Vondrousova the advantage. Jabeur saved the first break point with forehand crosscourt volley and then gained advantage herself. Vondrousova bounced back to earn second break-point chance and got the break back.
