Former MP Ashok Tanwar had informally joined the Congress at Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Mahendragarh district on Thursday, dealing a setback to the BJP ahead of the assembly elections.
Just an hour ago around 1.45 pm, Tanwar addressed a rally in favour of BJP candidate Randhir Panihar in Hisar’s Nalwa, and he claimed that the BJP will form the government for the third time in Haryana.
In what is seen as a bipolar contest between a party hopper and the BJP candidate Ashok Tanwar and the veteran Congress leader Selja, the electioneering here is revolving around Prime Minister Narendra Modi
The BJP nominee from Sirsa, Ashok, was accompanied by Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini, Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Barala, BJP candidate from Hisar, Ranjit Singh Chautala, and Sirsa MLA and Haryana Lokhit Party chief Gopal Kanda when he filed his nomination papers
