Chandigarh: Audit captures issues in CCTV renting before chancellor’s PU visit

As per the report, it was observed that as the V-P visited the PU, Chandigarh, campus for Global Alumni Meet 2023 on December 23, five additional cameras were installed, on rent, on the campus for three days at an amount of ₹64,900

Ineligible firemen on Chandigarh MC’s payroll: Audit

As per the report, the recovery amount of each staff varies from ₹5,400 to ₹83,700; a whopping ₹3.29 lakh needs to be recovered from these seven employees, the report says

Punjab, Haryana ministers fail to pay 4.42 cr dues for UT houses: Audit

An audit conducted for years 2021 to 2023 revealed that a licence fee amount of ₹4.42 crore was pending in respect of houses occupied by the ministers or deputy ministers of Punjab and Haryana.

As per provisions of Punjab Reorganisation Act 1966, licence fee, at the rate fixed from time to time, is recoverable in respect of houses allotted from the UT pool accommodation to the ministers of Punjab and Haryana states. (HT File)
