Woman molested, assaulted twice in five days over feeding, walking dogs in Delhi

Blacklisted for misrepresenting facts to obtain visa: Centre on US journalist

As per the Centre, an affidavit has been filed by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) stating the petitioner is a ‘blacklist subject’ and was blacklisted at the instance of the Consulate General of India in New York.

NIA arrests main shooter in Mohali RPG attack last year

BMW hit-and-run: Victim met with another accident in 1986 near same Munirka spot

On Sunday night at around 10.30pm, a speeding BMW sedan smashed into Shau under the Munirka flyover at the Ring Road-Nelson Mandela Road intersection in south Delhi.

Delhi records its cleanest air day in over three months

The last time Delhi’s air was ‘moderate’ was on December 15, 2022--189--while the last time Delhi recorded a lower AQI reading was on October 14,-- 154 (moderate)-- according to CPCB data.

Injured jackal wanders into south Delhi store, rescued

A two-member team from the NGO’s rapid response unit arrived at the location and found that the jackal was a young male who had sustained minor injuries on the stomach, presumably by a dog attack.

The jackal was struggling to move and had taken refuge under a shelf in the back of the store. Concerned for the animal’s well-being, the store owner informed the police, who in turn alerted Wildlife SOS. (HT Photo)

Delhi government gives nod to six dry days from Jan 26 to Mar 31

On five of these days, liquor shops will remain shut but alcohol can be served at restaurants, bars and hotels. However, on January 26, liquor can’t be sold or served at any commercial establishment, officials said.

According to police, accused Sonu Talwade, 34, killed his 32-year-old wife Nisha Talwade, son Aman, and daughter Khushi in the first week of December and then buried their bodies with the help of an accomplice, Bunty Kaithwa, in the verandah of their house.

Delhi's air ‘severe’, but Grap III curbs unlikely for now

The Capital on Sunday recorded an AQI of 407 (severe) at 4pm as per Central Pollution Control Board’s (CPCB) bulletin — the highest in 12 days, and a sharp departure from the recording of 294 (in the “poor” category) on Saturday.

NCR had Stage-III restrictions in place between January 6 and 15, with CAQM imposing it on January 6, when the AQI touched 400 briefly. The measures, however, were lifted on January 15, as Delhi’s AQI dropped below 300.
