1,082 security personnel to be felicitated with gallantry awards

Overall, a total of 1,082 police personnel across the country were awarded the police medal for gallantry (347), and president’s police medal for meritorious (648) and distinguished services (87).

108 J&K police personnel given medals for gallantry, most among states, UTs

Among the personnel receiving Gallantry Awards, 109 are from CRPF, 108 are from Jammu and Kashmir Police, 19 are from BSF, 42 are from Maharashtra, and 15 are from Chhattisgarh.

A total of 1,082 Police personnel have been awarded Police Medals on the occasion of the Independence Day, 2022.
