UP Budget 2024-25: State capital’s super speciality healthcare gets “special care”

Medical education institutes in the state capital of Lucknow received a boost in funding for research, expansion, and equipment in the recent budget. King George's Medical University, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, and Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences were among the institutes that received increased funds. The budget also allocated funds for a cancer institute, Panchkarma training centers, and a research and treatment center for Unani medicine.

The allocation also clarified the government’s intention to make these medical centres grow in terms of research and education. (For Representation)
