A woman in Mumbai was severely injured after her ex-husband allegedly attacked her with a knife for getting sole custody of their son. The ex-husband has been arrested for attempted murder and assault.
According to the police, after the trio realised that the woman was dead, Akbar – the father-in-law of the victim, Ayesha Sayyed, 31 – consumed poison to prove that the murder was in self-defence. He claimed that Ayesha fed him the poison. Currently, Akbar is in the hospital and will be arrested soon after he is discharged.
