Sridevi was born at Meenampatti village in Tamil Nadu. She was married to producer Boney Kapoor in 1996 and have two daughters: Janhvi and Khushi. She is referred to as the First Female Superstar of Indian Cinema. As a child artist, she made her debut with Kandhan Karunai in 1967 at the age of four. She was the highest paid actor of her time. With Solva Saavan, she made her foray into Bollywood as the lead actor in 1979. She did playback singing for films such Sadma, Chandni, Garajna and Kshana Kshanam. For her contribution to Indian culture, she was honoured with Padma Shri.
