The animal husbandry department of Karnataka has decided not to catch and shift street dogs to shelter houses in Bengaluru after residents of the city shared their opinion not to remove dogs from the streets.

South corporation to monitor stray dog sterilisation drive on app

The regulations of Animal Welfare Board of India and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, under which the Animal Birth Control (Dogs) Rules, 2001 was enacted, makes it illegal for an individual, RWA or municipal bodies to remove or relocate a dog from its area.

Thieves sedate barking stray dogs, steal 9 lakh from PNB ATM in Mohali

As per information, the men came in a Chevrolet Cruze car at around 2.30am. As soon as they got off the car, some street dogs started barking at them but they sedated the dogs. They then broke open the ATM with a gas cutter and made off with the cash.
