PM Modi addressed the nation a day after India's 100 crore Covid vaccination milestone. "100 crore jabs is the scripting of a new chapter in Indian history. It's the story of new India which sets tough challenges for itself & achieves them. India traditionally depended on developed nations for vaccines," he said. "Many doubted & questioned India's ability to deal with the pandemic. But these 100 crore doses have given a befitting answer to all the naysayers. India's vaccine drive is a living example of sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas," he added. The Prime Minister further said, "We ensured no VIP culture in India's Covid vaccination drive. 100 crore vaccine doses shows India does not have the problem of vaccine hesitancy. India's vaccination program is science born, science driven & science based." The cumulative vaccine doses administered in India surpassed 100-crore feat on Thursday. Around 75% of India's all eligible adult population has been inoculated with at least one dose. The countrywide covid vaccination drive was rolled out on January 16, 2021.
