The northern Chinese city of Tianjin on Sunday conducted mass Covid testing after a spate of recent cases. Authorities advised its nearly 14 million people to stay home while it conducted the mass testing. Numbers are small, but Tianjin may be facing China's first local outbreak of omicron of any size. Tianjin emerged as a new area of concern after over 20 Covid cases were reported in the last few days. The city asked its residents to stay home or be available for the community-level nucleic-acid screening. This comes after Chinese authorities have been struggling with a outbreak centred in Xi'an city. Watch the full video for more.
