The Union Health ministry announced that the Covid booster dose will be available to the 18+ population in the country. The Covid precaution dose will be available from April 10, at private vaccination centres. Unlike booster announced for health workers, frontline workers & those above 60, this dose will not be free. Those who have completed 9 months after the 2nd dose will be eligible for the booster dose. Serum Institute’s CEO Adar Poonawalla announced the rate for Covishield booster doses.
