“BJP trying to polarise; No one forced me to wear Hijab,” claim Muslim women

The controversy in Karnataka in connection to Hijab, swelled across India with Muslim women protesting in demand of their right to choose what to wear. In Punjab's Malerkotla, Muslim women and students feel that the Hijab controversy is being used by the BJP to polarise the assembly elections. Many also believed that the entire controversy was a BJP game plan and lashed out at the Modi government.
