The controversy in Karnataka in connection to Hijab, swelled across India with Muslim women protesting in demand of their right to choose what to wear. In Punjab's Malerkotla, Muslim women and students feel that the Hijab controversy is being used by the BJP to polarise the assembly elections. Many also believed that the entire controversy was a BJP game plan and lashed out at the Modi government. One of the Muslim students that Hindustan Times spoke to claimed that no one forced her to wear a Hijab and that she had taken a very informed decision. Watch this video for more details.
