In a midnight move, the Uttarakhand BJP expelled MLA Harak Singh Rawat from the party citing indiscipline. The BJP claimed that it will not tolerate any anti-party activities in the decision just ahead of the assembly elections in Uttarakhand. After the expulsion, Rawat had an emotional breakdown during which he confirmed that he will be joining the Congress soon. Harak Singh Rawat, a former Congress leader had rebelled against the party in 2016. As per reports, the main reason of Rawat's sacking from the BJP was that he was pressurising the party for a ticket for himself and his relatives. Watch for more details
