How Goa’s former Minister Michael Lobo is eyeing hat-trick on Cong ticket

Michael Lobo is contesting on Congress ticket this time from the Calangute constituency in Goa. The former ports minister in the Pramod Sawant-led BJP government, Lobo is hoping for a hat-trick. In the past, Agnelo Fernandes won two consecutive terms in 2002 and 2007 as congress MLA. If Michael Lobo manages to win again, the hat-trick will be a first for Calangute. Michael Lobo has won in Calangute for the past two elections on BJP ticket. Lobo quit the BJP after a decade, when he was denied role in selection of candidates and his wife was denied Siolim ticket.
